There are 4 wonderful rooms available – each with access to breathtaking views of the castle and the valley below. Three double en suite rooms and one self-catering suite. All are available on a Bed & Breakfast basis. Minimum stay two nights.

Each has been decorated retaining as many features from the old building as possible, quietly blended with some modern features that will make your stay more comfortable; such as full air-conditioning, modern marble bathrooms and state-of-the-art double glazed windows.

Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are small and accessed via a steep staircase as they were already in place in the old building. But each has either a private balcony (Room 1), or shared access to the top balcony (Room 2 and 3) where you can soak up the sun, stargaze, relax, read or simply take in the wonderful views with a glass of our local wine.  Rooms 1 ,2 and 3 can also make use of the snug which is equipped with sofas, music magazines and games.  There are also fridges with wine, water and cold drinks – and loads of information about where to go and what to see.

All of the rooms have access to the two big terraces outside the dining-room/common room.

ROOM ONE

Maximum occupancy: 2

After a long journey or a day of sight-seeing, you deserve to relax and unwind. Let’s face it – you’ve earned it! And romantically named Room One offers just that.

Room One is blessed with a private balcony offering an incredible view across the valley. Sit back, unwind, nibble snacks, sip wine.

Inside you will find a most comfortable bed, crisp white linen and a modern bathroom with a great shower. The room is fully air-conditioned and the windows double glazed.

This is a wonderful base from which you can explore the region.

ROOM TWO

Maximum occupancy: 2

This room (fondly called Room Two) has a special place in our hearts. It might be because of the quirky marble shelf which was installed to replace a broken floorboard, or it might be because this was the first room that we stayed in when we originally found The Place. It’s wonderful.

The room has access via a marble staircase to the highest balcony and unbeatable views of the castle and the valley below. Here you are more or less on top of the world, on a spectacular balcony shared only with the delightful people from Room Three.

Room Two has a comfortable bed with exquisite white linen, and a modern bathroom with shower and is fully air-conditioned/double glazed.

ROOM THREE

Maximum occupancy: 2

A view of the old Town Hall and down the quaint cobbled street are offered by this gem – Room Three. With a Tempur mattress for those who desire more support in their sleep (or for those who have never tried one and would like to), crisp white linen, marble bathroom and hot shower. It is fully air-conditioned and double glazed.

The room shares access via the marble stairs to the top-most balcony with exceptional views of the castle and the valley around Evoramonte.

The balcony has tables exclusively for you and the delightful couple from Room Two

ROOM FOUR

Maximum occupancy: 2

This room features a private balcony, a luxurious double bed which looks directly out over the valleys, a bathroom with a four-poster bath that might keep you inside reading a book in a bubble bath and a small self-catering kitchen. Ideal if you want to spend a little time in the market before cooking up your own delicious dinners.

The private balcony is a great place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Or simply sit up in the morning and watch the day arrive from the comfort of your bed. With a walk in shower, air-conditioning and the kitchenette – Room Four offers that little extra luxury that you probably deserve.
